Specializing in energy saving roofing, insulation, and solar
solutions for the building and/or renovation of both residential and commercial properties, Summit Green Solutions was founded in 2008 by Whatley Bush.

Having become involved with the Green Movement in 2001 while working at Boral® Material Technologies to create a line of sustainable building products, Bush recognized early on the benefits of green building. In 2003 he became Regional Manager of MonierLifetile®, a joint venture of Boral and Lafarge that developed a durable and energy efficient concrete roofing system.

Today, Bush serves on the board of directors of South Carolina’s US Green Building Council (USGBC-SC), a non-profit community of leaders working in every state to make green buildings available to everyone within a generation.

There are many green building programs from local, regional and national organizations. The most stringent green building program is Leadership Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System. LEED is a third-party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green. Summit Green Solutions has a strong understanding of the different programs available and can help you determine the right program for your project.
